Positive Practices Survey - A gateway to an engaging workplace

Workplaces are experienced by through the behaviours we observe.  We all observe a wide range behaviours at work as we interact with colleagues, customers, suppliers and others.

The Positive Practices Survey has been designed to identify the prevalence of six workplace positive practices that can be observed through the behaviour of organisation members.  The full survey is divided into five sections:
  1. Current State - How often you’ve observed the behaviour in the last three months;
  2. Narrative responses to four questions where you share experiences of working at your organisation.
  3. Expected State - How often you think it’s fair and reasonable to observe the behaviour at work given the nature and context of your workplace, and
  4. Ideal State - Ideally how often you think you should observe the behaviour in your workplace in order for you to be most effective.
  5. The Genos Emotional Climate Survey

This free survey collects data in parts 1, Current State, part 2, narrative responses, and part 5, the Genos Emotional Climate Survey.  Up to five people from an organisation can respond to this survey.  There is no limit to the number of people who can respond to the full survey.

When you complete the free survey you will be taken to a page that provides more information on the positive practices you have assessed before being provided with the opportunity to complete the the Genos Emotional Climate Survey.

Leadership Style Questionnaire - A window to your preferred style

Your style as a leader will directly impact the engagement and performance of your team.  Many leaders are unaware of the strengths and limitations of their style.  There is a direct link between your style of leadership and the effectiveness of your organisation.

The Leadership Style Questionnaire is based on the significant evidence-base of what distinguishes highly engaging leaders from those who are less engaging.  In its full form the Leadership Style Questionnaire can be deployed as a self-report, as it is with this sample, and a 360 feedback instrument when you engage with the full questionnaire.

Your report will provide guidance on your preferred leadership style across a range of five specific behaviours and one attribute.  A behaviour is something a person does or says that can be observed, described, and recorded.  In contrast, an attribute is a characteristic that is ascribed to a person by others based on what the person is perceived to be.  These five behaviours and one attribute describe different forms of leadership.

You are invited to complete the Leadership Style Questionnaire and then after a few days join Chris for a debrief.

Emotional Intelligence Reports

We all experience a wide range of positive and negative feelings at work as we interact with colleagues, customers, suppliers and others.  These feelings influence our decisions, behaviour and performance in interesting ways.  Positive feelings have a ‘broaden and build’ effect causing us to think more broadly, engage more deeply and perform better.  Negative emotions tend to have a ‘narrow and limiting’ effect, causing us to be more closed-minded, less engaging and poorer at performing.  At a collective level, these emotions impact the bottom line.  In high performing organisations, people experience more positive emotions and less negative emotions than those in low performing organisations.

Emotional intelligence is the skill of perceiving, understanding, expressing, reason with, and manage emotions within oneself and others.  Applied at work, it’s about using emotions intelligently to achieve desired results.

Set to Change is pleased to offer two reports that enable insight into emotional intelligence for an individual and an organisation.
