Understanding Remote Work
The Remote Work Overview Report is free of charge until 15th December 2020 for up to 10 respondents from one organisation 

​2020 has seen remote working explode as never before anticipated to enable many knowledge-based organisations to continue to support their customers.  In response to COVID-19 millions of Australian employees were forced to work from home with mixed outcomes in terms of productivity.  Working remotely creates new dynamics in workplace social networks and relationships and places more emphasis on individuals managing their productivity  
​The Harrison Remote Work Analysis Report is designed to improve outcomes from remote working.  There are two versions of the report: one for remote workers and another for leaders who manage remote workers. These assessments are built upon the same scientific foundation as the Harrison Suitability Assessment.  They identify and measure strengths and gaps related to competencies, suitability, and engagement factors that impact remote working.

The Remote Work Overview Report focuses on the two competencies needed to successfully work remotely: remote productivity and remote communication.  It includes a total competency percentage and overall scores for each competency enabling leadership to focus on support for individuals who need it most.
Individual Competencies
Remote Productivity:  Stays focused and productive while working remotely.  Effectively works autonomously by taking initiative and persisting despite potential distractions. Keeps organized and focused on goals.  Has a positive attitude and seeks self-improvement. 

Remote Communication:  Takes the initiative to communicate and collaborate to improve efficiency.  Has a positive attitude and listens with an open mind.  Doesn’t take things personally and is receptive to feedback. Seeks to ensure their communications are received by being straightforward while also being respectful. Communicates clearly and logically while also being sensitive to others.

Providing guided support to improve capability to work remotely

After reviewing the Remote Work Overview reports for your team you may want to provide guided support to those you identify as requiring assistance to develop their competencies to be productive and communicate more effectively when working remotely.  A fuller understanding of an individual’s competencies to work remotely, and a leader’s competencies for leading a remote team, can be obtained with a detailed report on each competency.  The Remote Worker Detail Report  shows  performance against essential and desirable traits, and traits to avoid, identified for successful remote working by Harrison Assessments.  The detailed Remote Worker Detailed Report for each competency, which is generated using data gathered when the overview report is prepared, costs $100.
